Benefits of Forward Fold- Stretches back, back of legs, releases neck and shoulders
Cautions- Keep knees bent as necessary. Avoid coming into the fold with arms stretched (we don’t want to lead with the arms or ‘dive’ into the pose). Instead focus on that hinge at the hips.
Benefits of Half Lift- Strengthens the back and the neck. Stretches backs of legs and hips.
Caution- To helps avoid problems in the lower back keep softness in the knee. Gentle with the neck. Avoid ‘nodding the head up’.
